In an emergency you should always dial 999. An emergency is when a crime is happening, someone suspected of a crime is known to be nearby, or someone is injured, being threatened or in danger.

Harrow Road Safer Neighbourhood Team

This is the local police team that operates in your area, headed by Sergeant Ashley Crawford. It's made up of Police Constables & Police Community Support Officers. It identifies and tackes long term crime or nuisance problems in your neighbourhood. Officers from the team will contact you to follow up on any calls that you make.
Please be aware that the Safer Neighbourhood Team is not a 24 hour Police response. In an emergency you must call 999.

Community Intelligence Line

Call the 24 hour Community Intelligence Line to report low level crime and anti-social behaviour. Please note that this is a non-response, non-emergency line, however the information given will be passed to the local teams working in your area and will influence the deployment of police and council resources.

Safe and Secure

The Safe and Secure Scheme fits security measures, free of charge, including door locks, windows locks and smoke alarms. If you are an owner occupier or private tenant, you can claim this grant if you are over 60 or receiving an income-related benefit or are registered disabled. If you are a council tenant, you can claim if you are over 60 or registered disabled. You can also claim if you have suffered more than one burglary in the past year.
